PURPOSE: To provide a circularly polarized wave and linear polarized wave shared primary radiator capable of receiving both circularly polarized wave and a radio wave from a satellite using both of them. ;CONSTITUTION: On the side of an opening part 1 of a circular wave guide 2, a composite phase converter composed of a first phase difference generation means (metallic lump 3 and 4) and a rotary type second phase difference generation means (dielectric plate 7) is provided. A rectangular wave guide 9 is joined with the side surface of the circular wave guide 2 on the side of a terminal surface 5 of the circular wave guide 2. When a circularly polarized wave is received, a signal is outputted from the rectangular wave guide 9 by converting a radio wave into a linear polarized wave by the first phase difference generation means 3, 4 and rotating the dielectric plate 7 in a direction which the phase of the said linear polarized wave does not change. When the linear polarized wave is received, one of the signal of the linear polarized wave is outputted from the rectangular wave guide 9 by making the phase difference generated by the first phase difference generation means 3, 4 for between two polarized waves components of the linear polarized wave in-phase by rotating the dielectric substance plate 7. The other signal of the linear polarized wave is outputted from the rectangular wave guide 9 by rotating the dielectric plate 7 so that the phase difference may be about 180 degrees.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
