PURPOSE: To obtain a detecting apparatus of imperfection of the external appearance of a color sheet which is simplified by dispensing with a mechanical device for changing a diaphragm. ;CONSTITUTION: This apparatus detects imperfection of the external appearance of a color sheet 40 on the basis of an output of an image pickup element using a CCD line sensor 2 which senses a transmitted light or a reflected light of a light applied onto the color sheet 40 from a light source l. A sheet color signal setting element 6 which outputs a color signal corresponding to a color of the color sheet 40 and an accumulation time regulating element 5 which regulates time of accumulation of the aforesaid CCD line sensor 2 on the basis of the color signal outputted from the sheet color signal setting element 6, are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
