PURPOSE:To obtain a new polypeptide exhibiting no antigenicity to human and having activity capable of inhibiting many kinds of proteases, which participate in grave diseases, including FX or plasma kallikrein. CONSTITUTION:A polypeptide having an amino acid sequence which is partially common to a trypsin inhibitor in urine, e.g. containing an at least amino acid sequence of the formula. The polypeptide is produced by culturing a transformant obtained by transforming a host cel using DNA having a base sequence coding the above-mentioned polypeptide.
