摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain a dyed product with a good durability similar to in the conventional ones with use of an anionic dyestuff soln. free of alkali having a low electrolyte content by modifying a cellulose fibrous material with a nitrogen-contg. basic polymer. CONSTITUTION: At first, a nitrogen contg. basic polymer is grafted on a cellulose fibrous material by polymerization of a nitrogen contg. basic monomer. Then, the substrate material consisting of the cellulose fibrous material is dyed with an aq. dying soln. contg. an anionic dyestuff or an aq. padding soln. in the absence of alkali and in the presence or absence of a small amount of an electrolyte. As the above-mentioned nitrogen-contg. basic monomers, dimethylallyl ammonium chloride and pyridine, etc., are preferable. The graft reaction is carried out by introducing the cellulose fibrous material into a polymerization vessel together with the above-mentioned monomer soln. and polymerizing them. Herein, the reaction is preferably carried out in a suitable aq. solvent at 65-85 deg.C.
