The present invention relates to new 3-aryl-4-hydroxy- DELTA 3-dihydrofuranone and 3-aryl-4-hydroxy- DELTA 3-dihydrothiophenone derivatives, to a plurality of processes for their preparation, and to their use as insecticides, acaricides, herbicides and fungicides.
