A preventive agent used for protection of plants against viral diseases contains in 100 weight percent of water solution 0,1 up to 0,5 weight percent wall yeast water soluble alpha-1,3-manane with the bonds of alpha-1-3- in the main and alpha -1,2- and alpha 1,3- in the side chains with a molecular weight 25 000 up to 50 000 Da, or it also contains wall yeast water soluble 1,3-glucan with the bonds beta 1,3- in main and 1,6- in side chains with a molecular weight of 200 000 up to 400 000 Da.
