The method concerns anchoring with a fastening device formed by joining an anchor part 1 and a wedge piece 4 in an anchoring recess formed by means of edges 4 of tips 2 or beforehand. In both cases the tips 2 guided by the wedge piece 4 are forced to expand so that they together form the anchor part. When the anchor part 1 has penetrated deeply enough in the hole that the thickness of the tips 2 corresponds to the opening between the wall of the hole and the surface 6 of the wedge, the end of the tips is rotated, which are bent inward either by means of a step 3 or beforehand parallel to the surface 6 of the wedge. Tips 2 and wedge piece 4 thus together form a compact and uniform anchoring part with wedge-like anchoring surfaces 8 and a single-anchor recess that corresponds to it in size and shape. In this manner the fastening is anchored as a result of tensile force. The inward bent steps 3 lock the wedge piece 4 between tips 2. IMAGE
