Abstract : ^ process for the preparation o£ composite pharmaceutical preparation c.ontaining pefloxacin suitable for intravenous injection comprising dissolving pefloxacin mesylate dihydrate in water and adding thereto dextrose (anhydrous) at a temperature of 5 to 30 C, propylene glycol is added to give a stable preparation, Sodium metabisulphite and/or disodium ethylene diamine tetracetate is added to give a clear, colourless preparation, nitrogen gas is bubbled through the mixture prepared which is then autoclaved at 100° to 130°C sterilise it and then filled in U.S.P. bottles.
