There exists a need to mechanise the operations of moving hives so as to allow a single person to travel around in an autonomous manner. The machine according to the patent application solves this problem and allows a single operator to load hives onto vehicles and unload and move them on the ground. It consists in the application of an operating apparatus to a self-propelled tracked vehicle which is commercially widespread. The parts which form our operating machine are as follows: power take-off pulley mounted directly on the engine of the tracked vehicle which transmits movement to the other parts; the lifting/moving apparatus formed by the vertical guides, the carriage, the slide and the fork which performs the vertical and horizontal movements; the chocks for beehives and honeycombs; the illumination system which is autonomous and also allows night-time operation; the loading and unloading chute which allows the vehicle to be driven up onto the loading platform of articulated lorries and to be driven off with greatest of ease and practicality.
