The chemical reaction between the commercial tablets or pellets of aluminium or magnesium phosphide with a liquid catalyst performed under vacuum in the reaction chamber of a dosing device connected to the vacuum fumigation cell makes phosphine gas (phosphoretted hydrogen) immediately available at the desired concentration for the total destruction of all living forms of insects in operations for the deinfestation of agricultural and food products or other products.
