Portable instrument for analysing digital communications from 2 Mbit/s up to 140 Mbit/s, which consists of a chassis fitted inside an easily transportable casing, in the lower part of which is located the bus card into which are plugged, vertically, cards of the following types: outputs and frequency-measuring, inputs, 2 Mbit/s analyser, demultiplexer for 8 to 2 Mbit/s, demultiplexer card for 34 to 8 Mbit/s, demultiplexer card for 140 to 4 Mbit/s FAST, demultiplexer for 140 to 34 Mbit/s FL, CPU, peripherals card, secondary power-supply card, while other cards exist which are connected directly to any of these ones and which are: output and front-panel monitoring and primary power supply, all in order to extract information as regards the mode and quality of operation of the high-capacity digital systems produced in a single unit, complying with the relevant conditions of the CCITT.
