Process and device for the continuous decomposition of a supersaturated sodium aluminate liquor, forming a suspension in the presence of aluminum trihydroxide primer. The device comprises a cylindrical-conical tank equipped at its cylindrical upper part with an overflow with a supply and tranquilization zone and at its conical lower part situated in a storage area of a withdrawal piping itself connected to production flow outlet piping. Means for transferring the recycling flow from the split zone to the supply and tranquilization zone are provided.
