ABSTRACTAn intelligent portable interactive personal datasystem is disclosed. A microprocessor with memory iscontained within a transaction card-shaped housing. Analphanumeric keypad and alphanumeric display is located on asurface of the housing. At least one port within the housingis provided for the input and output of information. Anoperating system is stored in the memory to control theoperation of the system through the microprocessor. Theoperating system provides a means for generating a pluralityof messages on the display that prompts the user during theoperation of the system.
