AbstractA unique one-piece molded insulating and drainage panelfor use for basement subterannean walls is disclosed. The panelis molded from expanded polystyrene having very low waterpermeability. When installed, the panel has two sides havingvertically oriented grooves on both sides. The grooves abuttingthe foundation wall are typically rectangular whereas thevertical channels on the outside wall are specifically designedto be self-clearing to avoid blockage by backfill. Typically abell-bottom shaped narrow opening and a wider inner channel isused.
