THERMOPLASTIC SIGHT MONITORAbstract of the DisclosureA liquid sight monitor includes a translucent thermo-plastic viewing tubular element having ends that are flared,after the tube is inserted through the central holes offlanges located at either end, to secure the viewing elementin place. A float may be included in the viewing element ofthe same material and cup shaped to entrap air so that thefloat rises to the level of the fluid surface, even thoughit is otherwise heavier than the fluid. A flow-throughrestrictor disk prevents the float from falling out thebottom of the viewing element when there is an absence offluid therein. The monitor may have a protectivesee-through shield connected between its top and bottomflanges, if desired.
