METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MONITORING THE MECHANICAL CONDITION OF ROTATING MACHINES

A method for monitoring the mechanical condition of a rotating machine, wherein each variable is constantly measured and mathematically transformed to give a parameter which is representative of a mechanical condition of the machine and is compared to a threshold. For a short time at the start of said method, each parameter is measured according to the speed and a speed-dependent correcting factor is applied thereto to relate the measurement to a predetermined speed.
