Cochlospermum planchonii extract, process for its preparation and therapeutical use

The invention relates to a process for preparing an extract, wherein Cochlospermum planchonii roots, dried and ground beforehand, are extracted with distilled water at a temperature between 56 DEG C and 64 DEG C at a pressure of approximately 105 Pa for at least 0.25 h. The invention also relates to the abovementioned extract as a new industrial product and to its use in therapy as an agent for protecting the liver.
