An enzyme-linked immunoassay for the determination of cyclosporin A levels in whole blood samples is provided based on the utilization of β-D-galactosidase as an enzyme label and chlorophenol red-β-D-galactopyranoside or resorufin-β-D-­galactopyranoside as a β-D-galactosidase substrate.
