A strain sensor comprises an elastic metal substrate (2) with a strain gauge circuit pattern (1) formed on its surface and a beam (3) having the same thermal expansion coefficient as that of the substrate, the substrate being bonded by an adhesive, such as an epoxy resin, to the beam with a strain gauge section of the strain gauge circuit pattern aligned with a deformation area (7, 8, 9, 10) of the beam.
