Process and equipment for preserving fruit extracts from Serenoa repens

The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for preserving extracts (primary extracts) which were prepared from Serenoa repens fruits. The preservation is carried out by treating the primary extracts in a high-pressure column (C) having segments (C1, C2, C3) which can be heated to different temperatures. Fractional extraction and separation take place in the column. The undesired odour and flavour substances of the primary extract are separated off in a separation vessel (S) situated outside the column. The secondary extracts produced by the fractional extraction in the column have a considerably longer storage life than the starting materials used.
