Process for dyeing of wool with help of low-temperature plasma or Corona-pretreatment

A process is described for the even fibre and surface dyeing of wool, which is characterized in that (a) the fibre material is subjected before dyeing to a low-temperature plasma or corona pretreatment with a non-polymerizable gas and then (b) the pretreated fibre material is dyed from an aqueous liquor which contains no levelling agents. Even fibre and surface dyeings are achieved without the addition of levelling agents using the present process. Chlorination of the wool can additionally be dispensed with.
