WELDED JOINT BETWEEN AN ALUMINIUM BEARER AND A COMPONENT CONNECTED THERETO, ESPECIALLY BETWEEN TWO MUTUALLY SUBSTANTIALLY PERPENDICULAR EXTRUDED ALUMINIUM SECTIONS ON A VEHICLE
The invention relates to an assembly by welding between an aluminum beam (1) and a construction element (2) connected to the latter, in particular between two extruded aluminum profiles substantially perpendicular to each other, in a motor vehicle. According to the invention, the aluminum beam (1) is applied to the construction element (2), without a weld bead extending perpendicular to the contour of the profile. In addition, an assembly element (7) is used which, on the one hand, is applied to the construction element (2) and is connected to the latter by at least one first weld bead (8) and which, on the other hand, is applied to the aluminum beam (1) and is assembled there by at least one second weld bead (9, 10), the second weld bead extending in the longitudinal direction of the aluminum beam (1). It follows that there is present on said beam (1) no peripheral area of lower resistance, due to the welding process, so that the welding assembly according to the invention withstands heavy loads. A preferred application relates to the assembly between the upright (B) and the base in an automobile body.
