Safety window (glass panel) made of laminated glass, of the type comprising two panes 1, 2, made of annealed or tempered glass, connected to each other by an intermediate sheet 3 of synthetic material to the opposite faces of which the said panes adhere, characterised in that the said sheet comprises, in the said material, a mechical-strength discontinuity line 4 of relatively small width, this line defining a pre-opening contour of an area such that, after breaking the said panes 1, 2 and rupturing along the said contour, it provides a passage sufficient for a human being. The invention also relates to methods of manufacturing such windows. IMAGE
