GOTHIC TYPE KOREAN FONTS CHARACTER EXTRACTING METHOD USING FONT WIDE CHANGING

摘要

The method abstracts the characteristic of character components without line detailing process by detecting the width variation of the strokes to be perceived. The method is composed of the four stages: 1st for detecting the width variation of a Korean character path by comparing the width difference between a certain segment and the next segment; 2nd for abstracting five kinds of path shapes when variation is detected; 3rd for abstracting three kinds of path shapes when no variation is detected except in the previous segment; and 4th for abstracting three kinds of path shapes when no variation is detected in the previous segment.
