With the colour separation device, light from a lamp (10) is projected on hot line through a mirror (20); the ultraviolet ray of the light is cut off by a filter (30); the colour of the light is separated, and then projected on a collecting lens (90,91) and a reflecting mirror (22). A first mirror (31) having the inside and the outside coated with a blue color reflecting coating (49) and an ultraviolet unreflecting coating (41), respectively a second mirror (33) having the inside and the outside coated with a red colour reflecting coating (50) and an ultraviolet unreflecting coating (42) resp. a third mirror (35) having a red colour reflecting coating side (52), and a fourth mirror (37) having has a blue colour reflecting coating side are provided in the colour separation device.
