The apparatus changes Hangul mode from KS fixed mode to a KS combi- mode or vice-versa using a function key. The apparatus includes a KS fixed mode/KS combi-mode selection key (1-1) for selecting a KS fixed mode or a KS combi-mode, an output unit (1-2) for sending '01' code for a KS fixed mode and '02' for KS combi-mode to a multiplexer (MUX), a multiplexer (MUX) for sending data to a monitor (1-3) and a KS fixed mode display board (1-4) through buses (1,2) for KS fixed mode output signal (01), and sending data to a monitor (1-3) and a KS combi-mode display board (1-5) through buses (1,3) for KS combi-mode output signal (D2).
