Fire stop for cable gland in building wall - has removable housing projection used to pack fire resistant material around cable fed through cable channel in moulded component

The cable gland, fitted in an opening in the building wall, has a moulded component (5) providing a cable channel (6) sealed with a fire resistant material. A moulded component (5) is plastered into the wall with an attached housing projection (11) having an upper opening (18) used for filling the cable channel (6) with the fire resistant material, enclosing the electrical cable (4). The moulded component (5) is pref. made of concrete, the attached housing projection (11) made of sheet metal, secured via bolts, allowing its subsequent removal. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple removal and replacement of packing when cables are replaced.
