PURPOSE:To obtain continuously a required measurement value without requiring a special computer by constituting a correlation type time difference meter of a correlation function calculator and prescribed analog circuit and extracting the phase of the basic wave component of the correlation function in order to determine the peak position of the correlation function with two analog input signals. CONSTITUTION:This correlation type time difference meter consists of the correlation function calculator 101 for calculating the correlation function with the two analog input signals and a peak position calculator 102 for calculating the peak position of the correlation function. A band-pass filter 12 of which the central frequency is the driving frequency for the correlation function calculator 101 is incorporated into the analog circuit constituting the peak position calculator 102. The correlation function which is the calculated output from the correlation function calculator is thereby repeatedly applied to the band-pass filter in the peak position calculator and the peak position of the correlation function from the correlation function calculator is obtd. as the phase information for said correlation function.
