Three=dimensional measurement esp. for investigating human jaw action

At least four spatially mutually offset reference points (7-9,7'-9') are attached to each of the bodies (1,2). The positions of the reference points on a body are measured optically w.r.t. each other and relative to the points on the other body. The relative body motion is determined, pref. with the aid of a computer, from the variations in the positions of the reference points w.r.t. each other. A reference element (13,14) contg. four mutually offset reference points is attached to at least one body. The point positions are detected using a video camera (20), pref. with an image memory connected to it.
