A DC voltage intermediate circuit is to be coupled with a three-phase voltage mains. For this purpose, the three three-phase voltage connections (L1, L2, L3) of the three-phase current mains are connected, via three first or three second, respectively, semiconductor valves (V1, V2, V3 or V7, V8, V9, respectively) which can be switched on, directly to the first or second pole, respectively (2 or 3 respectively) of the DC voltage intermediate circuit (1). Between the two poles of the intermediate circuit, a semiconductor switch (S) which can be switched on and off and a diode (D) are connected in series. The three-phase voltage connections are connected to the point of connection of the semiconductor switch (S) and diode (D) via third semiconductor valves (V4, V5, V6) which can be switched on and an inductor (L).
