The gripper consists of a tubular housing (2) with radial arms (3) on which are pivoted legs (4) whose ends are hooked to grip under a ridge on the bag to be lifted. On a bracket (14) of the housing is a locking pin (11) which can be slid into holes (12,16) in the draw rod (5) to hold the legs in the fully or partially open positions, thus facilitating handling of the gripper onto the keg. With the pin pulled out, the draw rod is freed by gripping and lifting the keg. ADVANTAGE - Greater convenience of handling and use.
