The trunk piston has a top section with two piston ring grooves, and a piston shaft, connected to it via a gudgeon pin. In all working conditions of the engine, the clearance of the piston ring webs to the internal cylinder wall, is smallest in the pressure-counter pressure direction, and in the gudgeon pin direction. It is larger in the intermediate areas. The smallest clearances are located together on ring webs (1,2), which are positioned above the lowest ring groove.
