Conveyor for transporting cut coal to main conveyor - has trough to collect material falling from conveyor which is pushed toward conveyor by oscillating arms

A coal cutting machine has a belt type conveyor which transports the coal to the main conveyor. A trough (6) mounted below the coal cutter conveyor (2) catches any slurry which falls from the coal cutter conveyor. The slurry caught in the trough is pushed towards the main conveyor by a row of oscillating arms (10) which are mounted one behind another. Each arm is mounted on a transverse shaft with an attached actuating lever (11). All the actuating levers have their outer ends pivoted to a common connecting rod (12) which is moved forwards and backwards by a power cylinder. USE/ADVANTAGE - Transport of coal to main underground conveyor. The trough collects slurry etc which falls from the coal cutter conveyor.
