Medicaments contg. optically pure R- or S- sulpirides (I) are new. The medicament contains 30-1600 (esp. 100-500, most esp. 300) mg of R- or S- (I) per dose. The active agent is administered in retard capsules. USE/ADVANTAGE - The medicaments are used for treating psychosis, depression (R-(I)) and giddiness/dizziness (R-(I)). They avoid the dosage/admin. problems of medicaments contg. the racemate of (I), which need to be administered under continuous control of a doctor. The racemate has been used for the same disorders as the optically pure forms, and as an antiemetic
