The bearing support has a central spindle (1) with support bushes (3,3") of aluminium. The bushes are bonded together at a central point once the bearing assembly is complete. Each bush is located on a ball bearing having an inner race (5), an outer race (7) and ball held captive in cage (6). The outer race discs are subjected to an axial force applied by a coil spring (4). Any expansion that occurs axially is automatically compensated for the spring action. ADVANTAGE - Compensates for temp. effects.
