The control uses an electrical proportional magnet with positioning stroke which alters proportionally with the electrical voltage fed to the electromagnets. The electromagnet (9) has a controllable proportionality between positioning stroke and electrical voltage dependent upon the level of the fluid pressure on the input side of the throttle or proportional valve (8) so that between the electrical voltage and the level of the fluid pressure at the output side of the throttle or proportional valve a proportionality exists which is not or only weakly influenced by the input pressure. A magnet coil-side pole or pole shoe (32) works in conjunction with the armature (31) of the electromagnetics and is adjustable by alteration of the distance or air gap between pole or pole shoe and the armature (31). USE/ADVANTAGE - For vehicle throttle or proportional valve inserted between pressue source and use unit of fluid system, with adjustment of the air gap between armature and pole shoe.
