Determn. of metals, esp. toxic heavy metals in aq. soln. - comprises binding metal ions to protein, esp. pref. haemo-cyanine and spectroscopically determining functional and/or structural changes in protein
Determn. of metals, esp. toxic heavy metals in aq. soln. - comprises binding metal ions to protein, esp. pref. haemo-cyanine and spectroscopically determining functional and/or structural changes in protein
Determn. of metals in aq. soln. comprises binding the metals to proteins added to the aq. soln. The resulting altered functional and/or structural properties of the proteins are then, pref. spectroscopically, determined. The protein used is pref. an oxygen-binding protein pref. haemocyanine and a pH of 4-11 is used in the determn. USE/ADVANTAGE - For determn. of metals, esp. toxic metals in aq. soln. The protein is very stable over a wide pH range and continuous or discontinuous determinations can be qualitatively or quantitavely carried out without using buffer solns.
