Measuring consumption value for heating cost allocation - measuring temp. of heating body and heated room and deriving consumption in electronic heating cost allocator

The measurement is performed using an electronic heating cost allocator. The temperature of a heating body and the heated room are continuously measured and processed to derive the corresponding instantaneous heat output of the heating body. This is summed to yield the heat given off by the body over a given time. Whenever the flow of heating medium is interrupted to control the temperature of the heating body the rate of cooling of the body is derived from the measured temperature values. The instantaneous heat output value is derived from the functional dependency of the cooling rate and the total thermal capacity of the body. ADVANTAGE - Consumption value is measured very accurately and independently of external influences.
