The trunks are fed using rollers which are mounted at an angle so that they describe a spiral path along the stem.A guide consists of double linkages (15,16) in the form of parallelograms and guide arms (21,22) which are connected to the rollers (7,8). The rollers are mounted on U-shaped brackets (9,10). Support angle brackets (11,12), which can pivot about bearings (13,14), are connected to webs (9a,10a) of the first brackets. The double linkages are mounted on one of the webs (11a,12a) of the U-shaped brackets. The guide arms are also connected to a web of the U-shaped brackets. ADVANTAGE - The unit automatically adapts to various trunk diameters, while maintaining the same speed of the transport rollers.
