The cylindrical joint bush comprises an inner core (3) which attaches to the chassis. An outer eye (18) is attached to the axle. The two are joined by two rubber sleeves (10, 11) which are pressed into a housing. The sleeves are fitted with axial cavities which, upon pressing, are closed but ensure a radial prestress. Under normal conditions the sleeves will limit the core movement. Under extreme loading- a flange (7) contacts the sides of the cavity (6), finally restricting further displacement. USE/ADVANTAGE - For car suspension member mounting, with soft torsional characteristic, and improved radial guidance.
