The socket is mfd. from an integral piece of insulating material with a tapered base (12) and a cylindrical section topped by a flange (13), through which two semicylinddrical guides (21) are provided for set screws (14) captive in their holders (15). Each holder has diametrically opposed projections (30) co-operating with longitudinal grooves in two boundary walls (32) of the guides (21). Each projection (30) is formed on one side of a flat portion of the holder (15) and pref. bent towards the base (12). ADVANTAGE - Socket itself and its co-operative parts (esp. captive set screws and holders) can be mfd. economically.
