Clock with display of hours and minutes - has gear wheel with minute hand fixed to eccentre and external gear ring with Nx13 teeth

The clock includes a gear wheel with a multiple of 12 teeth which is rotated about an excentric axis by engaging with an outer gear ring (2). The gear wheel rotates hypocyclically about its own and the eccentric axis and covers a twelfth of a turn for each complete turn of the outer ring. A minute hand (4) is fixed to the excentre (1) for display of minutes. The outer ring has a multiple of 13 teeth so that the rotation of the excentre about its drive axis (11) and the rotation of the gear wheel (3) about its axis are in opposite directions. ADVANTAGE - Simplifies reading of minutes.
