A new device for obtaining microbiologically produced albuminous nutrient from waste water applies to waste waters in which the nutrient concn. is so low that a part of the conc. biomass must be recirculated as quickly as possible to the microbiological process. The bioreactor (4) and the flotation cell (14) used for the concn. of the biomass consist of a single combined unit. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for obtaining albuminous nutrients from waste water by means of a biological process which converts the nutrients in the water into a biomass. Provides a means of operating on a commercial scale the laboratory procedure put forward in patent DD-WP 210383. Rapid recirculation of the biological sludge is achieved, and variations in the incoming substrate concn. and the pressure relationships in the device are taken into account.
