The trinary signal control allows the energising coils in a loudspeaker unit to be controlled by digital signals, obtained from an analogue sound signal after conversion of the binary code into a trinary code. Pref. the trinary code is transferred to the loudspeaker via a bridge circuit providing 3 different signal conditions. The conversion of the binary code into the trinary code is pref. effected via an electronic module employing a logic circuit, a microprocessor, a micro-controller, or an electronically-programmable read-only memory.
