The heavy-duty component for a packing or display is of corrugated paper in a coil with the layers glued together. Parallel V-section notches(1) are milled in it at set intervals, only the lowermost layer remaining untouched, thus forming a polygonal coil(3). The notches are at right angles to the lands of the corrugated paper, which has two or more layers. The glue can be applied to the notches, and also to the other surfaces.
