Discharging purified smoke gas from boiler furnace of power station - comprises reheating gases, temporarily before and/or during firing and during critical operational phases, but not during steady operation
Process for discharge of purified smoke gases, so called 'clean gases', from a furnace installation, in which prior to the discharge of the clean gases to atmosphere these are temporarily re-heated before and/or during the commencement of firing, and as required during critical operational phases, but not during steady operation. Heat exchanger (10) is a preferably finned tube heater, supplied from an auxilliary steam boiler, and roll mounted (13) on guide rails (14). In normal steady operation of exchanger (10) is retracted from clean gas flue (11) into a side pocket (15). Pocket/housing (15) may contain a pressure jet-washing system for removing deposits from the exchanger (10); removed particulates are discharged via a drain hole (23). USE/ADVANTAGE - Avoidance of condensation/corrosion problems during start-up/change on operations, and cause particulates expressions during regular operation, by smoke gas reheating.
