A machine for picking up, transporting and distributing silage may be in the form of a trailer for towing by tractor or an independently driven vehicle. It has an adjustable cutter (8) at the back which cuts out blocks of silage and moves it into a loader (20) equipped with a scraper base (23) and roller cutter (24). The silage is moved by the scraper (23) and roller (24) on to a transverse conveyor belt (25) which discharges it from the side. The cutter comprises a swivelling bucket between two forks (8) on the ends of swinging arms (1) which swing the bucket up and over the loader (20). USE/ADVANTAGE - Robust and easily operated machine delivers silage relatively clean and without loss.
