The vehicle-borne transmitter relays measurements from gps. (10) of channels (11,12) modulating narrowband FM/PM crystal oscillators (14) connected through a wideband power combined (16) and power amplifier (17) to an antenna (18). The channel selector (13) is operated by real-time logic (21) associated with a standard time receiver (20) and reception coil (19). The stationary receiver incorporates a band-pass amplifier (24), frequency switch (25), narrowband demodulators (27) and a channel switch (28) controlled similarly from a standard-time reception coil (29) responsive to the same timing signal source.
