A liner for sealing the base of rubbish tips or under roads comprises several different materials. A lower may layer is covered by a three-dimensional plastic grid of high density polyethylene. Space within the grid is filled by a low sealing concrete layer and an upper bitumen emulsion layer. Lower cost mfr. allows use in a wider range of applications. USE/ADVANTAGE - The liner is used as a seal underneath rubbish tips or road construction, has lower mfg. cost, can be used on steep slopes, prevents uneven sinking of the ground and has long life in subterranean toxic waste tips.
