The scanner has a CCD line detector (1) and an integral colour filter (2) for installing on a camera in place of a film changing magazine or for inserting in a stationary copying machine. The CCD line detector is covered by a protective glass (4). This forms a closed capsule with a scanner housing (3) and is separated from the image plane in the scanner housing by a sufficient distance, so that small dirt particles on the glass are not clearly shown up on the copy. ADVANTAGE - Picture quality is not impaired by small dirt particles on glass.
